STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
The Times-Call is creating a calendar featuring life (i.e. people, events etc) in the Longmont area. Winning photos will be featured in the 2011 Times-Call calendar. Each photo entered must have been taken in the Boulder County, southern Larimer, and/or southwest Weld County area. The Times-Call will design and print the calendar, which will be delivered to Times-Call subscribers in November 2010.
ELIGIBILITY:
The photo may be of any persons, places, events or objects. No more than three (3) entries per photographer will be accepted. Photos must be the original work of person submitting entries. Do not submit previously copyrighted photos. No distinction will be made between amateur and professional work, traditional film and digital. The photographer must have obtained the un-restricted written consent to use the likeness or image of any persons in the photos they are submitting. Employees of the Times-Call and their immediate families, contractors and agencies are not eligible.
ENTRY PROCEDURES:
Complete the online entry form and submit photos. Requested specifications are: digital photos must be an original jpeg file shot on a 3 megapixel (or better) digital camera and/or photos shot on film must be a high resolution (300 dpi) jpeg file and measure at least 10 inches wide. All photos must be composed in landscape (horizontal) format and entered online. When and where photo was taken must be indicated on entry form. No photos will be accepted that have any writing on them (i.e. date/location).
DEADLINE:
Entries must be received no later than 5 p.m. Mon. Sept. 6, 2010. (Deadline extended)
WINNING PHOTOS:
Times-Call staff will review all entries and select top entries for each month. The public will be invited to vote on their favorite entries for each month Sept. 15-30, 2010. Winning photos will be displayed in the Still Frame Gallery, 372 Main St., Longmont, in December 2010.
