STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
The Longmont Times-Call is creating a calendar featuring life in the Longmont area. Winning photos will be featured in the 2009 Longmont Times-Call calendar. Each photo entered must have been taken in the Boulder County, southern Larimer, and/or southwest Weld County area. The Longmont Times-Call will design and print the calendar, which will be delivered to Longmont Times-Call subscribers in November 2008.
ELIGIBILITY:
The photo may be of any persons, places, events or objects. No more than three (3) entries per photographer will be accepted. Photos must be the original work of person submitting entries. Do not submit previously copyrighted photos. No distinction will be made between amateur and professional work, traditional film and digital. The photographer must have obtained the un-restricted written consent to use the likeness or image of any persons in the photos they are submitting. Employees of the Longmont Times-Call and their immediate families, contractors and agencies are not eligible.
ENTRY PROCEDURES:
Complete the entry form below and submit photos. Requested specifications are: digital photos must be an original jpeg file shot on a 3 megapixel (or better) digital camera and/or photos shot on film must be a high resolution (300 dpi) jpeg file and measure at least 10 inches wide. All photos must be composed in landscape (horizontal) format and entered online.
DEADLINE:
Entries must be received no later than 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2008.
WINNING PHOTOS:
Longmont Times-Call staff will review all entries and select top entries for each month. The public will be invited to vote on their favorite entries for each month beginning Sept. 10, 2008, and ending Sept. 24, 2008. Winners will be featured in the calendar and each one will receive a framed photo recognition from the Times-Call.

Entry constitutes permission for the Times-Call to use entrants' name and photo for promotional purposes and permission to print in any of its publications. If photo is selected, entrant agrees to supply written release of subjects. By participating in this contest, entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these rules. |
